Why there’s a new chapter for Small Change
Small Change set out to prove that everyday people want to invest in the places they care about. And we did. Over the years, thousands of investments were made by both accredited and non-accredited investors. Along the way, we learned something equally important: access to capital is only one of the challenges community-focused developers face.
They also need guidance, visibility, connections, technical support and a strong community around them. Operating as an SEC-registered, FINRA-member funding portal limited Small Change’s ability to provide many of those things. SmallChangeCommunity.org is the next chapter—a new, independently operated platform that can support developers more broadly, build a stronger community around their work, and connect investment-ready projects with licensed financial partners.
